Introductory Information

Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses, so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God’s love and can live and grow into all that God intends.

How does a Habitat for Humanity affiliate get started?

A Habitat house at Nkwantakese Affiliates are started through Habitat Ghana’s New Affiliate Development programme. Interested communities contact the National office and are then guided through the programme by Habitat Ghana staff.

The New Affiliate Development programme requires intensive community education by Habitat Ghana before any a community is accepted as a proposing affiliate. Proposing affiliates then must meet strict criteria to become an official Habitat for Humanity Ghana affiliate. All interested communities are welcome to contact the National Office. Inquiries from communities are put on file and would be contacted when a new cycle of New Affiliate Development begins.
